Star Trek William Knight
CBS

William Knight appeared in two episodes of the Original Series. First in The Naked Time, then again in The Trouble With Tribbles. He played Moody, a crewman who becomes afflicted by the PSY2000 virus, attempting to serenade Yeoman Rand through the corridors of the Enterprise. The character would also make an appearance in one of the Beta Canon novels, Perry's Planet, where he was given the first name Wade.

Knight himself had a long career as a voice-over actor, appearing in the original Ghost In The Shell in 1995, along with the follow-ups. He also loaned his voice to the film Akira. He was known for playing characters with a wise old style.

He made many appearances in live-action as well, including a recent turn on Ryan Murphy's series Hollywood.

He died in Los Angeles, at 88 years old.
