35 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2022

4. Brad William Henke

Brad William Henke appeared in Star Trek 2009, although his scene was cut from the final release. He played James Kirk's uncle on-screen, although when he was cut from the release, the character was relegated to a vocal cameo - which was then dubbed over by Greg Gunberg!

Despite being hoisted from Star Trek, Henke appeared in many other projects through his career. He played the terrifying Desi Piscatella in Orange Is The New Black, as well as Tom Collins in the recent CBS adaptation of The Stand, by Stephen King.

Before acting, he was a professional football player, having played with both the Denver Broncos and Fort Worth Cavalry. He had faced health issues in recent years, including having two stents inserted, as well as the removal of a tumour from his pancreas.

Henke died at age 51, passing away peacefully in his sleep.
