Because it seems that most major sci-fi/fantasy franchises can't resist a little Christian allegory, here's yet another blockbuster movie with ham-fisted religious imagery. As Katniss is rescued from the Hunger Games wreckage by a mechanical claw, her arms dangle in an unmistakable Christ-like pose, one that seems hilariously on-the-nose considering how blatantly Katniss is viewed as the "saviour" of this story. It's just a bit embarrassing really, though perhaps younger viewers who haven't been exposed to so much might find it "deep"...
