4 Reasons Batman vs Superman Won't Be As Good As Man Of Steel (And 4 It Will Be)
3. Established Characters
Man of Steel introduced a number of characters played by well-known and widely-liked actors who will be sticking around for the sequel - and this can only be good for it. Henry Cavill's Superman, Amy Adams' Lois Lane, Diane Lane's Martha Kent and Laurence Fishburne's Perry White will all be given the opportunity to develop their characters further and grow in to their roles some more. This opportunity for deeper character development is one that wasn't available to the first movie and could provide a suitable counter-balance to the opposing fact that countless new characters from the Batman and DC ethos will need to be introduced from scratch. The performances of the aforementioned actors and actresses were generally critically acclaimed in the first film - if they perform as well as they did in Man of Steel, or indeed exceed that level of performance, in Batman vs Superman, then it will work very well for the film as a whole.
