40 Most Ridiculous Moments In The Fast & Furious Franchise

7. Sonny Chiba Cameo (The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift)

One of the more unexpected cameos in the series to date is from legendary Japanese actor Sonny Chiba (best known to western audiences as Hattori Hanzo in the Kill Bill movies). Here he plays Drift King's uncle Kamata, the head of the Yakuza who comes to inform his nephew that his business isn't meeting expectations, leading to the finale in which DK and Sean race to see who can remain in Tokyo. Chiba has only three short scenes in the movie, but it's still utterly surreal to see the actor in this series, when he otherwise feels like such an awkward fit. Still, he does well enough, mugging and chomping on cigars throughout, making him easily the most bada** character in the movie.
