3. Steve Carell
While the films of Steve Carell havent been too successful at showcasing his talent, its okay, because he was the star of the greatest piece of entertainment ever. Well, thats completely subjective, but The Office is my favorite thing of all-time, and Carells Michael Scott is brilliant in just about every way. The actors best film at this point is probably Little Miss Sunshine, where he plays a depressed gay man, and it proved to the world that he had acting chops. That character was Wes Anderson-y in some ways, immediately reminding me of Luke Wilsons Richie Tenenbaum. Of course, it doesnt really compare to something Wes would have cooked up, but it was a fine performance regardless. Wes Anderson knows a thing or two about getting amazing performances out of established comedy stars (Ben Stiller in The Royal Tenenbaums and Bill Murray in everything), so Maybe Steve could be next.
