2. Two-Face - The Dark Knight
A sympathetic character both in the comics and on film (we won't mention Tommy Lee Jones's performance in Batman Forever), Harvey Dent was essentially Batman without the mask in The Dark Knight during the first act of the movie. He was doing what was right, he was viewed as a symbol of hope, and thanks to the efforts of The Joker, it was proved that even the greatest of men could fall from grace with a single tragedy. He is a lot more sympathetic in this movie than he is in previous incarnations as he actually lost his fiancee all because of some little 'message'. To see everything you love taken from you as a way to show a message is pretty low, but The Joker took it to the extreme, then took advantage of Harvey's pain by convincing him to kill the mob and the corrupt police officers. Essentially, Harvey turned into exactly what he sought to destroy, proving that we all have a small evil inside of us. I hate to admit it, but The Joker was right. Not only has he lost his wife to be, but also have his face has been burned off, the look of that in the mirror is enough to drive anyone crazy, even a DA like Harvey Dent.
