5 Films That Deserve Sequels And 5 That Deserve Remakes
1. Man Of Steel - Sequel
Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel (MoS) was released in 2013, and while it may have had a few problems, it really shouldn’t t take this long to get a sequel fans have been craving for years.
Let’s not forget how much the film had going for it; alongside the stunning visuals, Hans Zimmer’s brilliant score and some really well-done action set pieces, we also got Henry Cavill’s Superman.
This was, without doubt, the best part of the film. Not only did he look the part, but he also brought an element of vulnerability to the Man of Steel. In turn, this gives the character an added degree of depth, and allows both Cavill and filmmakers to take Superman in all new directions.
But we won’t be able to see these directions be explored, if we don’t get an actual sequel, something Henry Cavill himself has made clear he’s keen for, as he has stated: “the cape is in the closet”.
Also, even without these character driven elements, the story options for a MoS sequel are still pretty much unlimited, especially, when you consider Superman’s rouges gallery, with the likes of Brainiac and Metallo, yet to make their big screen debut.
Furthermore, a MoS sequel could also build toward the final reveal of Darkside, who, if done right, has the potential to make Thanos look like small child and take his rightful place as the big bad of the DCEU.
In short, give us Man of Steel 2!
