5 Greatest Time Machines From Film & TV

2. T.A.R.D.I.S - Dr Who

The TARDIS is a living, breathing time machine that also doubles as a spacecraft in the hit UK sci-fi series Dr Who. The name TARDIS is derived from Time And Relative Dimension In Space and is actually a shape shifting 'chameleon' like construct that is much bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. Throughout the history of Who it has taken the form of a 1960s police phone box because it is a poorly maintained, obsolete model that has damaged its circuitry. The TARDIS is by far the coolest way to travel in this whole list but it's a pretty complicated beast that can only be piloted by a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, so unless you check either of those boxes then this probably isn't the time machine for you.
