5 Huge Ramifications Of Fantastic Four Being A Total Disaster

5. A Sequel Movie Seems Unlikely

Though it's yet to be officially stated, the stale reviews and box office failings to be associated with Fantastic Four seem to lower its chance of getting a sequel movie - and for plainly obvious reasons. If it ain't working, you sure as hell don't offer up another helping without addressing the problems head-on. But it's not like there was just one thing wrong with the film: there were eighty. It's going to take a long time to figure out what happened. Before Fantastic Four was released, 20th Century Fox seemed keen to let everyone know that they had high hopes for their rebooted superhero franchise; a sequel has already been scheduled for release in 2017, which suggests that nobody at Fox anticipated such a terrible reception - either that, or everyone over at the studio has gone totally insane. A bunch of rumours are currently doing the rounds in reaction to Fantastic Four's disastrous opening, one of which claims that Deadpool 2 will replace Fantastic Four 2 in the Fox superhero universe schedule, whilst another insists that the studio is sticking with the series for a sequel regardless of its performance (which seems very unlikely). Now, we wait for the official announcement... but don't get your "hopes" up for a follow-up.
