5 Mouth-Watering Films To Watch Out For This Year

5. Man Of Steel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVu3gS7iJu4 This list is in no particular order, but if it was this would easily be top of the list, which is something I didn't think I'd be saying about a Superman film when I first heard of its existence. Then again, I was basing this opinion on Superman Returns, which I think is fair to call "not a good film". Then I heard that Christopher Nolan was producing it and helping write the story for it and my opinion changed drastically. Then I heard Zack Snyder was going to direct it and I was hooked. It would be a travesty if this film wasn't going to be good. We had the teaser trailer some time last summer and it was a brilliant trailer. It showed enough to get the tone of the film we were going to see without really seeing anything at all beyond Clark Kent being a fisherman. The narrations were brilliant too, each of them gave a different message. Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) gives a speech which talks about choice, referring to Clark Kent's personal choice of what to do with his powers. Jor-El (Russell Crowe), on the other hand, gives a speech about responsibility rather than choice, saying, "You will give the people an ideal to strive towards", and, "They will join you in the sun". Then the full trailer was released and it looked even better. We get a real look at Superman and he looks extremely impressive. Most importantly, his flying doesn't look stupid. The struggle for Jonathan and Martha Kent to look after him despite the risk of his powers becoming known to everybody is evident too, it seems like much more of a character-based story rather than one where Superman just fights a bad guy and has to avoid kryptonite. A promising cast, a promising combination of director/producer/writer and an apparent introduction to the upcoming Justice League movie, this is the movie to watch this year.
