5 Movies You Always Watch When They Are On TV

2. Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump Just like Titanic, this heart-felt classic earned its fair share of Academy Awards, six to be exact. And although few will argue that other movies released the same year deserved more than Forrest Gump, there are certainly worse winners out there. Forrest Gump is a simple man that tends to stumble onto-or rather right into some pretty tremendous situations. Whether it is taking part in history or becoming a billionaire, Forrest Gump has quite a long and entertaining adventure. Since you can find this adventure on often, it is no doubt you have enjoyed watching it all unfold more than a couple of times. You tune in to watch Forrest break out of his leg braces all while little Jenny is yelling that famous line "run Forrest run." You watch Forrest as he runs all the way through a University of Alabama football scholarship. You watch Forrest run heroically right through the war in Vietnam, and then continue running coast to coast. You watch Forrest share the talk-show stage with icons like John Lennon. You watch Forrest become a ping pong champion between bringing Lt. Dan some ice cream. You watch Forrest meet JFK, Lyndon Johnson, and Richard Nixon. You watch Forrest finally reconnect with his long lost friend and love interest Jenny, and then witness Forrest becoming a father. You witness Forrest doing so much that it warrants a few views to soak it all in, therefore, there is no shame in watching this heartwarming flick every time it airs.
