5 Reasons Why Donald Glover Definitely Won't Play Miles Morales In Spider-Man: Homecoming

3. He's Already Played Miles Morales

Perhaps part of Glover being happy to put the Spidey lobbying behind him was because it had (kinda) already worked; he voiced Miles Morales in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series. He's done it, he did it, he was Morales (in a medium where age doesn't really matter, just ask Nancy Cartwright), something that surely wouldn't have happened without all the hype for Troy-as-Spider-Man. That's that box ticked.

Sure, he probably wouldn't say no to doing it in live-action and it's definitely not unheard of for actors to play the same character across multiple mediums (or even jump franchise), but doesn't the whole voice-over opportunity feel a bit like a consolation. He'll never be Spider-Man in person, but at least he can make Miles sound like him.
