2. The Mandarin = Leo Getz

mandarin The Mandarin was supposed to be Iron Man's arch-nemesis; he was supposed to be like the Joker, Lex Luthor, the super villain. SPOILER ALERT... Instead, what we got in Iron Man 3 was an imposter and hardcore comic fans were most likely disappointed and even angered by this twist. But you have to admit that Ben Kingsley was hilarious as Trevor Slattery, the British actor who "plays" the Mandarin as directed by Killian. The exchanges between Slattery and Stark reminded me of Riggs and Murtaugh's relationship with Joe Pesci's Leo Getz, a non-threatening informer who became the butt of jokes in the LW sequels. Black would've wrote in Leo Getz in LW5 as he had become a staple in the franchise; while I don't believe Joe Pesci was going to jump at the chance to play Getz again, it would've been great to see Riggs, Murtaugh, and Getz on the big screen together again. Trevor Slattery seemed like an extension of Getz as he informed Stark of what Killian was planning to do, but also in the way his character yapped about details that Stark obviously didn't care much for.
