5 Signs The Superhero Movie Bubble Is About To Burst

5 Reasons That Won't Happen

5. Nobody Creates Stars Better Than Marvel And DC

Yes many of the actors who have played foundational characters for many years are leaving, but that doesn€™t matter if there is someone just as good waiting to step in. Three years ago Chris Pratt was beloved supporting character on a cult network comedy, Marvel made him one of the biggest movie stars in the world. The same thing happened with Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and countless others. Whether its an eye for talent or the ability to take a mediocre actor and make him a star, studios have been extremely successful at producing topflight leading men and women. Stars come and go, as long as the transitions are handled smoothly and talent is being produced at this rate there will always be great (or at least popular) actors playing super heroes. However studios no longer have to rely on new talent for their acting. In the past the stigma of superheroes kept established stars from being involved in the genre outside of minor performances, like Marlon Brando playing Superman€™s father. No A-lister in their right mind would accept a hero€™s role. But that has changed the amount of money involved and the general popularity and prominence of superheroes in pop culture has made it acceptable to be involved. While for some it may be a move of desperation there are still a number of talented established stars who have signed up. Paul Rudd, Will Smith, Benedict Cumberbatch are all attached to various projects and the number of stars taking minor roles has risen to the point at which almost every supporting character is a famous face. Once the black sheep of the film industry superhero roles are now competitive and in demand, ensuring talent for years to come.
