5 Words That Need To Be Dropped From The Geek Lexicon

4. Lame

From the same source, lame is defined as unconvincing, boring, or old fashioned and even lacking street credibility. For purposes of this piece, lame is normally used to describe an event like a highly anticipated movie or video game that did not live up to expectation. For example: OMG, Men In Black 3 was so lame. Why was it lame? It just was. A conversation like that gets the point across that the person did not like the latest MIB movie but it does not give any depth or reasons as to why. All it does is lay there as an unsatisfactory reason that is not supported by any auxiliary evidence and in geek circles you need to come better than that or you€™re going to be the one who€™s looked at as a lame with a limited command of the language who will be ripped apart every time you try to offer your opinion.

A pop culture geek since the days Christopher Reeve taught the world a man could fly, KISS was in make-up, and V'Ger almost destroyed the earth so I have what I consider a wealth of knowledge and insight on where our culture comes from, where it is now, and where it can go in the future. If you agree or disagree that's what the comments section is for and we can talk about it. Leggo! PS.
