George Miller returns to the cult franchise that made him famous 35 years ago, and if the recently released second trailer is any indication, Mad Max: Fury Road is going to be possibly the craziest action film of 2015. Replacing Mel Gibson with Tom Hardy to play Max Rockatansky, Fury Road is a quasi-sequel, quasi-reboot of the franchise, revolving around Max's meeting with Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron), leading to an epic, ultra-violent chase across the desert. Miller has insisted that the movie will essentially be a 105-minute chase sequence, and from the gloriously demented trailer, it's easy to believe that. Though CGI is in use throughout, the amount of practical stunt-work is extremely impressive, the visuals look astounding, and, well, it looks about as weird as the other films while somehow amassing a $150 million budget. In the trailer, there's a dude playing a guitar atop a truck loaded up with amplifiers, and the guitar can shoot fire, for Christ's sake. Release Date: May 15th
