Even though the dubious photo shoots, questionable trailer and needless ret-conning of the previous continuity has cast a lot of fan doubt over the fifth Terminator movie, there's still plenty of excitement for seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger step back into the T-800 role he hasn't assumed since 2003's Rise of the Machines. With solid director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World) at the helm, hopefully there will be enough of interest here to paper over any potential narrative cracks, though in honesty, the healthiest way to look at the movie is as a self-contained reboot that has little to do with the previous ones. Still, with such an insanely strong cast, including Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as Sarah Connor, Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons and Arnie, there must be something compelling enough to allure so many talented actors. Hopefully it turns out to be more than just a pay-cheque. Release Date: July 1st
