50 God-Tier Acting Moments Buried in Bad Movies
48. Jamie Lloyd's Death - Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Back to the Halloween franchise now, this series has always been a troubled one, with very few of the sequels being actually any good. Having said that, these movies have consistently attracted strong casts, and that has been the case throughout all of the 13 films - even 1995's The Curse of Michael Myers, a ghastly turkey which is arguably the worst film in the entire series (and that's saying something!).
Most notably, it's got a short but memorable turn from J.C. Brandy, who plays an older version of Jamie Lloyd, the child lead of the previous two sequels. It's a shame Danielle Harris didn't come back, as she was fantastic in the part, but Brandy does fine work with her short screen time and vividly realizes Jamie's terror as she's pursued by her uncle, Michael Myers (played here by George P. Wilbur).
One of the many issues with The Curse of Michael Myers is how it weightlessly kills Jamie off at the beginning of the movie, but, thanks to Brandy, this moment isn't a total loss, and she does lend it some genuine pathos, as Jamie defies her uncle one last time in her final moments.
