50 Greatest Action Movies Of All Time

3. The Rundown (2003)

Crank 2
Universal Pictures

A truly underrated gem, The Rundown sees Dwayne Johnson take on one of his first leading roles in a Brazilian-set buddy movie that somehow failed to recoup its budget at the box office, despite being one of the best action comedies of the 21st Century.

Opening with a passing of the torch cameo from Arnold Schwarzenegger, director Peter Berg goes on to deliver a throwback to the genre's 1980's peak packed with impressive practical stunts, anchored by the winning double-act of Johnson and Seann William Scott.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
