50 Most Anticipated Movies Of 2018 - Ranked
42. The 15:17 To Paris
By now, you know what you're getting with a Clint Eastwood movie. His more recent output might have been a little more patchy (at least in terms of critical reception) than his real peak material, but he's still one of the most assured, dependable figures still working, and he's got a particular knack for shooting true to life stories now.
His attention has most recently been turned on the 2015 Thalys train attack, which saw three Americans - two of which were off-duty serviceman - thrust into a suspected terrorist attack on a train to Paris that saw one other passenger shot and one of the group stabbed as they subdued the assailant.
It's a compelling enough story in itself, but Eastwood has gone the extra mile of having the three American heroes played by the real people involved in the attack, which should stretch his directing skills even further. If he pulls it off, we should be in for a terrifyingly real look at a terrorist attack in close quarters.
