22. Aladdin
The first images for Disney's live action Aladdin remake were not great. Their reception varied from tepid to outright disrespectful, with parallels drawn to pantomime season and questions over Will Smith not being blue like Robin Williams' classic animated version of the genie. Apparently, we needn't be worried on that front as the images were merely depicting Smith's Genie in human disguise and he will be blue for the majority of the movie's run-time.
Alongside Smith, the cast is predominantly made up of lesser-known actors - all chosen with ethnicity as well as talent in mind. This was never going to be a whitewashed movie, fundamentally, and the likes of Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, and Marwan Kenzari in the key roles. Even with the odd choice of Guy Ritchie directing, the source material and the original songs are so good that it's bound to be a great addition to the Disney live-action catalogue.
