4. Wolverine's Classic Costume - The Wolverine
Director James Mangold and Hugh Jackman recently teamed up to tell a story about everyone's favourite X-Man and what happens when he vacationed i Japan. The movie itself was good enough, though it's safe to say that most fans were probably slightly underwhelmed with the package as a whole. Still, there were bits to savour, especially in a revealing post-credits sequence which nicely set-up the events of the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. Originally, though, James Mangold toyed with using very, very special ending that was ultimately cut. That's to say, in a scene that will be included on the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray home releases, we get to witness the triumph moment where Wolverine is given his classic yellow and black costume - you know, the one we've been waiting to see since... well, forever. So why did Mangold decide not to use this in the end? "I didn't want to burden ['X-Men: Days of Future Past' director] Bryan with suddenly based upon the last six seconds of the film throwing a wrench in the works of what he was up to. creating more questions than answering and maybe it wasn't the most responsible thing to do." Should It Have Stayed In The Movie? Well, it would have been a great moment, of course, seeing that fans have been itching to see Wolverine in his costume since the beginning of the franchise, but Mangold does make an excellent point - maybe it was just the wrong time to feature such an iconic moment, given that Days of Future Past was set to follow.
