4. The Smart Alec
This sin is going to seem very similar to the Heckler sin, but it's different. This is a specific sin of pride that is distinguished from the Heckler. The Heckler and The Smart Alec are similar but different in the same way that Lust and Envy are similar but different. The Smart Alec isn't someone that comments all the time, but they are the kind of person that see's every twist in the plot, no matter how improbable. This is particularly irritating in movies with surprising twists (like every M Night Shyamalan film... ever), when this oracle movie viewer claims to have seen the ending coming. The conversation with said sinner goes something along these lines. The two roles will be played by Person 1 (or P1) and Movie Sinner (MS) P1: Hey, how good was ? especially that ending. Talk about mind blowing right? MS: Pfft... hells to the no, you could tell the ending was coming a mile away. P1: Yeah... Wait what? MS: Yeah, from the opening credits I already knew . It was sooooo predictable. Obviously in the conversation the role of the movie sinner is over-dramatised but if you've ever spoken to one of these people, regardless of how they say it they seem to sound like an idiot. I'll admit some movies are predictable, they are made to be that way. Some movies will legitimately drop hints about the ending of the movie and if you pay attention closely you can genuinely guess it right. However, there genuinely are some movies that make it impossible to know the ending without having heard about it or having seen the movie before. It is by definition not predictable at all, if you were one of the few oracles that managed to see the end of the movie.
