5. A Bug's Life

Why is Pixar's second outing their most forgotten one? It's just as inventive as
Ratatouille, just as exciting as
The Incredibles, and much funnier than
Cars. But it always seems to be that Pixar film everyone forgets about. While it may not be as creative as the likes of
Monster's Inc., it certainly has appealing characters, gorgeous locations, and arguably Pixar's best voice cast yet.
A Bug's Life has Pixar's best villain (Kevin Spacey as Hopper) and may just have the most relational, sincere protaginst in Flik (though Marlin in
Finding Nemo comes awfully close) and really drives home some important values and themes. With Dennis Leary piping up as a lady bug, David Hyde Pierce providing the voice of Slim, legend Madeline Kahn appearing as Gypsy Moth, and the likes of Brad Garret, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Hayden Panettiere, Richard Kind, Dave Foley, and Bonnie Hunt, how could you not absolutely fall in love with this movie? Oh, and let's not forget that it's John Ratzenberger's best outing yet, and it probably has the best blooper reel of any Pixar film. http://youtu.be/kSq9Dmh_LwA
