7 Game of Thrones Actors Who Could Defect To Star Wars
4. Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon)
Can there be a character in television history whose death was so universally longed for and hugely welcomed than that of regal sociopath Joffrey Baratheon? Hatred of Joffers is largely thanks to Jack Gleeson's remarkably twisted performance. Although he has stated his intentions to retire from acting after Game of Thrones, a gig on Star Wars may be enough to persuade Gleason to have one last hurrah. If he were to appear he would join Liam Neeson and Billy Dee Williams in a select club of actors who have appeared in both the Batman and Star Wars sagas, after his appearance as Little Boy in Batman Begins. Who He Could Play: Rookie Imperial Officer, Jedi Padawan The temptation is to squeeze as much Joffrey out of Gleeson as possible and place him in a role as a Rookie Imperial Officer, the type who quickly climbs the Imperial power ladder. However what could be a far more intriguing proposition would be to cast Gleeson against type as a Jedi prodigy. It's maybe hard to imagine the boy who beheaded Ned Stark as a noble Warrior Monk but choices from left-field sometimes yield Ledger/Joker results. He'd have to have his steely blue eyes turned to the Dark Side of course but that makes the prospect of having him wield a Valyrian hilted lightsaber all the more tantalising!
As well as the odd article, I apply my "special mind" to scriptwriting for Comics, Films and Games... Oh and I cut down trees, I skip and jump, I like to press wild flow'rs, I put on women's clothing, and hang around in bars.
