7 Incidents That Prove The X-Men Franchise Is Cursed

6. Production Crew Travel To Canada To Shoot Snow Scenes; All The Snow Is Gone - X2

If you've seen X-Men 2 (or as its more commonly known: "X2"), you'll recall that there were lots of scenes set in the snow. To shoot these specific scenes, then, director Bryan Singer wanted to travel to actually snowy locations to get the appropriate footage, so the production crew decided that Alberta, Canada - a place renowned for its endlessly snow-clad, picturesque landscapes - would be perfect. There was also almost no doubt that, after all, that the terrain would be covered in the stuff. Of course, the X-Men franchise is cursed. As Murphy's Law had it, the crew arrived in Alberta to find that all the snow had mystery vanished. Because God hates X-Men movies - and because nothing is allowed to be easy when it comes to this series of movies - the area that the filmmakers had picked out for shooting had been exposed to "unseasonably warm weather." As a result, the majority of the snow-based scenes in X2 had to be rendered with CGI and artificial snow - though you can't really tell the difference in the finished film, what were the chances that such a thing would happen?
