7 Most Important Things We Still Haven't Seen In The X-Men Movies

3. Mr Sinister And The Mutant Massacre

For such a big presence in the X-Men universe, it€™s amazing we haven€™t seen Mr. Sinister yet. A genius geneticist, Sinister was born with the more plausible name of Nathaniel Essex and was a contemporary of Charles Darwin. Whereas Darwin was happy to make observations and write books, Essex wanted to fiddle about with people€™s genes to see if his theories were right and what he could do, even going so far as digging up the corpse of his dead son to do so. Told you he was Sinister. Essex€™s obsession with mutation led him to resurrect En Sabah Nur, or Apocalypse, and strike a deal with him. From then on he became Mr. Sinister, complete with pale skin, body morphing and telepathic abilities and possibly the worst costume in the X-Men comics. Possibly Sinister€™s darkest hour however came when he lead his marauders, a vicious gang of the biggest bastards in all the mutant world on a raid through the Morlock owned sewers, massacring the mutant sub-class, paralysing Colossus, maiming Angel and putting Nightcrawler in a coma. It was kind of a big deal, especially when it was discovered that Gambit had a hand in it. Sinister probably hasn€™t cropped up yet due to his appearance, what with Singer and co preferring to keep things as grounded as possible. With the Morlock Caliban appearing in the next X-Men and both Apocalypse (who looks decidedly ungrounded) and Gambit anchoring films within the next few years though, could now be the time we see Nathaniel Essex and what makes him so Sinister in Fox€™s movies?
