This much-anticipated satirical disaster film from acclaimed director Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice) is scheduled to stream on Netflix later this year. Featuring an insanely talented cast including Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, and Cate Blanchett, Don't Look Up will likely be both a critical darling and commercial hit.

The film stars Lawrence and DiCaprio as astronomers who have discovered that an asteroid is set to soon destroy Earth. The pair go on a global media tour in attempt to warn humanity of their impending doom. Given McKay's track record as a director who can effortlessly combine comedy and drama, Don't Look Up will likely shock and entertain viewers in equal measures.

While the film was originally slated for a 2020 premiere, delays induced by the Covid-19 pandemic have pushed back the release date until later this year. Perhaps due to these unexpected delays, Netflix have published few other details related to the film, and the streaming giant has released only one small snippet of footage.

Regardless, we are excited by this incredible mix of tantalising, innovative storytelling and all-star cast. While details remain scarce, we are sure that Don't Look Up will be one of Netflix's biggest hits this year.
