7 Pixar Movies Better Than Toy Story 4

Toy Story not only set the tone and standard for Pixar but it completely revolutionised animation as a genre and art form. Something that in 2019 a Toy Story movie was never really going to do, regardless of how good it looked or how enjoyable the story was.

Look back at the history of animation and it would be hard to pin point a bigger or more important moment in the genre than when Toy Story was released. Not only due to the technical genius it displayed, but also because its brilliant story and well written characters showed that you could connect with an audience just as much as you could with traditional animation.

It wasn’t cold, unengaging and mechanical like many thought a computer animated feature might be (or could have been). Instead it was one of the most charming, funny, groundbreaking and entertaining films ever made. And at a time when the majority of animation was generally geared towards children, Toy Story delighted parents and adults just as much as the kids.

Toy Story in many ways laid the foundation upon which every subsequent film at the company was built, and furthermore, laid the future blueprint for the whole animation industry for years to come.
