7 Racist World War II Cartoons (Produced By Major Studios) You Won't Believe

1. Bugs Bunny Nips The Nips - Warner Bros, 1944

This is kind of considered the granddaddy of all racist World War Two propaganda. It is really one that has to be seen to be believed, because it€™s not just the physical depictions, but also the language and the violence that really sets this one apart from the other shorts release. In this cartoon we get to hear international childhood icon Bugs Bunny saying things like €˜slant eyes€™, €˜monkey tail€™ and €˜Jap€™. And we also get to see him straight up murder Japanese soldiers to the point where one the finals scenes is a beach is littered with crosses, each indicating a soldier that has been killed at the hands of Bugs Bunny. Oh and of course it€™s heavily implied that Bugs is about to get down with a female bunny in the film€™s closing moment, because nothing excites Bugs sexually, more than massacring Japanese soldiers. Words really can€™t do this one justice €“ it is best just to watch and be gob smacked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCNw4Nahmhg
