7 Villains Who Would Work In A Buffy The Vampire Slayer Reboot Movie

2. The Master

The Master is the one true season "big bad" that could probably be fit in to a single movie - and that's based on a similar premise already having been used in a Buffy movie. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was originally conceived for a 1992 feature film (which starred Kristy Swanson) that pitted Buffy against a similar villain controlling vampires below Los Angeles (Lothos, the vampire king, played by Rutger Hauer). Really, the perfect villain for a new Buffy would be a vampire - and it would be one who is a vampire in every sense of the word. Spike and Angelus don't really fit the bill in that regard, but the Master is a true, pure, demonic monster with more powers than the standard vampire possesses. Being the oldest vampire in existence meant that the Master had... well... mastered some esoteric powers. He could hypnotise people, had skills in dark magic and the occult and could sense power in others. In addition to his enhanced physical statistics and penchant for blood, this made him a very dangerous foe (he was also so old that his vampire face became his "normal" face). His back story is simple - he's an ancient vampire who has sired many other vampires in his time and he wants to bring about the end of the world. Buffy must stop him. That's something that would work well as a movie plot, as shown in countless other movies over the years.
