5. Gambit
Taylor Kitsch doesnt really know how to sell a movie, having appeared in the massive Disney flop John Carter (although the film itself wasnt that bad) he probably isnt going to be an A List star any time soon (probably). Not that Gambit necessarily needs a big star, but for my taste, Kitsch played the role of Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine a little too friendly and mummys boyish probably more concerned on looking pretty for the camera than giving a credible performance in the role. And for my money, the two coolest male characters in the X-Men comics are Wolverine and Gambit and Wolverine already has one of Hollywoods coolest actors, so Gambit deserves something a little better. He used to be a professional thief, but Kitschs Gambit made him look like he used to be a professional model. Also, he was painfully underused in that film, and I wish he hadnt been used at all. I was always hoping we would see Rogue and Gambit together on the big screen, and his inclusion in Wolverine means (though not completely impossible), this will likely never happen with the current X-Men cast. Maybe Days of Future Past can clear this up, and reintroduce him in another timeline, as maybe
Who Should Play Him: Alexander Skarsgard. This took me a lot of time to think of but when I came to the name it just seemed so perfect. Look at him, he is Gambit. Although equally as good looking as Kitsch (probably more so) he seems a little rougher and a lot darker (he does play a vampire in True Blood after all). Also, he is far more charming, and Gambit needs buckets full of charm to be convincing. Also, bonus points for the fact that his True Blood co-star Anna Paquin is the actress who plays Rogue (really well I might add at least in the first two films) and they have obvious and already proven chemistry together. Also he is Swedish (I dont know why thats cool but it is) and his dad is the fantastic older actor Stellan Skarsgard (as seen in Thor and The Avengers).
