Tom Hardy is one of those actors whose rise to prominence is complimented by repeat viewings of older films you may have not realized he appeared in ("Wow, he was the evil bald dude in Star Trek: Nemesis.") While he's bulked up for multiple roles (Bane, Tommy in Warrior, Bronson), none of those three share many attributes except for size. His part of Eames in Inception was played with Bond-levels of smoothness and he excelled as the endearing closeted Handsome Bob in Rock N Rolla. Anyone who has played both a hulking, Batman-breaking masked man whose voice you can't understand and an Adonis sparring with Chris Pine for the heart of Reese Witherspoon(This Means War) is miles away from the typecast.
