8 Actors Who Should Come Out Of Retirement For One Last Role

7. Sean Connery

It's a real shame that Connery's last movie was such a tremendous flop. The eternal James Bond deserved a much better sendoff than the one he received in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It's been over a decade since Connery was forced to call it a day in light of the horrible experience he had while filming LXG, which should have been more than enough time to get the bad taste out of his mouth. He seems primed to make one last killer performance and end his career the way it deserves to end: on a high note. A couple of things to consider when dragging the ol' Scotsman out of retirement, though: He's now in his mid 80s and he publicly stated that he doesn't understand most of the scripts he received toward the end of his career. So those are some tough challenges to overcome. But since there appears to be another Indiana Jones in the making (with Harrison Ford likely maintaining the lead role, despite rumors to the contrary), what better opportunity could there be for Connery to make a final splash on the big screen? Short of showing up as Daniel Craig's mentor in the newest Bond movie or being resurrected for a bit part in another Highlander film, reprising his role as Professor Henry Jones is the safest option. Now, technically Indy's dad is likely dead, as is hinted at in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but that doesn't mean there can't be a few flashbacks or even an Obi-Wan-like presence of Jones, Sr.
