8 Casting Decisions That Could Ruin 2016's Biggest Movies

5. Sophie Turner - X-Men: Apocalypse

Is there anything worse than the failed American accent? Sophie Turner, who is best known for her role as Sansa Stark on HBO's immensely popular Game of Thrones, is already an actress of questionable quality, but her upcoming role in X-Men: Apocalypse as Young Jean Grey requires her to do an American accent - something that, according to the trailer, she can't really deliver. If you haven't seen the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, check it out. Check out Sophie Turner. Do you already have that nagging feeling that she's going to take you out of the movie with some dubious acting? The world might have gotten use to Turner's varying abilities on Game of Thrones (sometimes she's terrible; sometimes she's fine; it seems to change at random), but having her rub shoulders with Hollywood's best could be awful. There's something overtly clunky and theatrical about her take on the accent; here's hoping that it only sounds as distracting as it does in the trailer.
