8 Casting Decisions That Could Ruin 2016's Biggest Movies
4. Colin Farrell - Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
Colin Farrell in a Harry Potter spin-off movie? Who'd have thought it? Farrell, once deemed by journalist types to be "box office poison," has made a relative comeback over the course of the last 12 months, having starred in indie flick The Lobster and on TV's True Detective (season two was terrible, but he was pretty good). That said, Colin Farrell is not the sort of actor who naturally gels with the world of Harry Potter. Set to play a wizard name Percival Graves, "a high-ranking auror and confidante to the President of the American magical community set with the task of tracking down Newt," he's essentially reprising his role from Minority Report (only with less Tom Cruise). Farrell must be overjoyed by the notion that he's set to feature in a film that has a 100% chance of not being a flop, which must be nice for the man who made both Miami Vice and Alexander (ouch). That said, cast in the wrong role and the Irish actor can be near on unbearable - not to mention unlikeable. This could be Fantastic Beasts' great misstep.
