5. Mark Millar
Not only did we get to see
The Avengers this year, which was in many ways inspired by Millar's
The Ultimates run, but he's also been at large getting his own projects off the ground in cinematic form. We've recently been subjected to a plethora of
Kick-Ass 2 set photos, rumors, and videos, and just a few days ago, Bradley Cooper supposedly
entered into talks to headline another of Millar's work in
Supercrooks. But Millar has also been
given a job at FOX to oversee and be a collaborator for all their future Marvel movie projects. That includes being a voice with properties like the
X-Men franchise,
Fantastic Four, and
The Wolverine. Millar's tweeted extensively about his excitement, but he's definitely kept busy this year. The only thing that may pale in comparison is getting to see his fruition in 2013 when his projects start to grab even more life.
