8 Continuity Flaws That Ruin A Film Series During A Binge Watch

5. Damien's Age - The Omen III: The Final Conflict

That evil little tyke Damien Thorn made a real impression on moviegoers back in 1976 when the six-year-old tormented his adoptive parents, and drove poor Gregory Peck to try and murder him with a sacred dagger. That didn’t work out, and over the course of the next two movies he grows to understand – and embrace – his evil heritage.

He also ages really quick, since he’s already 32 by the time 1981 rolls around. Of course, this is an error on the filmmaker's part, since they already fudged the timeline with the second film, where Damien is suddenly a teenager despite two years having passed since the original.

Since they wanted his life to mirror Christ's it made sense the final part would follow him as an adult, but instead of setting it in 1998 and making it “futuristic”, they just retcon again, meaning he’s aged two decades in the space of three years. Nobody seems to notice, unless you’re watching all three back to back and trying to make sense of it. But why would you put yourself through that.
