8. Mera

It's already been revealed that Mera will be making her presence felt in Justice League (most likely played by Amber Heard), so why not just make her the seventh member of the team? The character will clearly be following her husband into battle, and while it's entirely possible Warner Bros. only intends to have Mera make an undersea cameo appearance before Aquaman's solo outing, that would actually be a massive waste. The current iteration of the Justice League is a sausage fest with Wonder Woman as its only female member, so Mera would bring some welcome diversity to the roster. She may not be as iconic as the rest of the heroes who make up the team, but including someone who will be new to regular moviegoers in order to establish her as an A-Lister would be no bad thing, and ultimately hugely advantageous to Aquaman's movie.
