AMC's The Walking Dead generates millions of viewers each week, who tune in to watch their favorite heroes battle mindless zombies. What if we told you that DC has its very own story of the undead, at its fingertips? That story, known as Blackest Night, is one of DC's most popular tales. The story is centered around Hal Jordan, Black Hand, the emotional spectrum of the DC Universe.

When Black Hand is hand-chosen to be the first Black Lantern of Death, he uses his newly acquired powers to resurrect dead heroes and villains of the past, for his own nefarious cause. The story combines the regular comic book elements of action and suspense, with horror and hysteria, as zombified versions of our beloved heroes take center stage, in this gothic narrative

The end of the story sees Hal Jordan uncover the secrets of the emotional spectrum, and joining forces with the Lanterns of hope, love, greed, compassion, and eventually life. This would be a great moral to an outstanding story, about how death comes for us all, yet we must go through this life together, and without fear. It's a beautiful end to what could be an inspirational film.
