If that third movie comes, it will come in the shape of a Channing Tatum-led flick, starring a rebooted Gambit. That's the rumour that's going round, seemingly confirmed by producer Lauren Shuler Donner when she claimed she'd love to make the movie, and love to cast Tatum in it. It would only be a small movie, bridging the gap between the bigger Hollywood blockbusters, and would add to this universe's sparkling roster of franchises. Remember that crossover movie? It only gets bigger if you take a Gambit movie into consideration. So why not drop him into this film, like how Hawkeye was teased in Thor? Why It Could Be True: Even Channing Tatum himself wants in. "I would like to play Gambit. Gambit's my favorite," he claims, "I'm from New Orleans, around that area." The only people who really need convincing that a movie could work are the studio; incidentally, Marvel president Kevin Feige had an internship under Lauren Shuler Donner. It would be a gift for the fans to see Gambit, and just a quick cameo would test the waters for whether Tatum can hack it in the role. If there's going to be another solo movie anyway, Wolverine surely needs a break, especially considering he's the lead in this film. Which leads me on to...
