See Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private join forces with undercover organization The North Wind to stop the evil Dr Octavius Brine from destroying the world. Why We Should Be Excited: Because the world loves the Penguins Of Madagascar, right? Second only to the minions from Despicable Me (who are also getting their own spin-off movie in summer 2015), the Penguins are probably everyone's most beloved 'hilarious side-characters in a hit animated movie franchise'. They've already sustained three seasons of their own television cartoon, which is just as charmingly zany as you might expect, so there's no reason to believe that the movie won't be at least as good, if not better. Hopefully the film features another appearance from their dolphin nemesis Dr Blowhole, brilliantly voiced by Neil Patrick Harris in the TV show. This should be a perfect Christmas-time treat for parents and kids alike.
