8 Great Characters DC Movies Have Completely Screwed Up

1. Sinestro

F*cking up two major characters in one movie is no easy feat, but Warner Bros. did exactly that by also dropping the ball with Sinestro in Green Lantern. Spending no time at all exploring the complex relationship between Hal and his comic book mentor, the movie barely bothered to hint that Sinestro really wasn't all that keen on the human being in the Corps. The problem is that there was no real animosity between the two. Sinestro even plays a role in saving Hal's life at the end of the movie and things wrap up with them actually becoming allies. That would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that Green Lantern then made the baffling decision to show Sinestro putting on the yellow ring which comic book fans know he uses to form the fear based Sinestro Corps and take on the Green Lantern Corps in revenge for them expelling him from their ranks. This movie decided to skip that though, and chances are Sinestro would have just ended up a slightly mad and power crazed stereotypical villain in the sequel. By not devoting enough screentime to the character, Mark Strong (perfect casting) was wasted and we barely got to know Sinestro before his out of the blue turn to the dark side. Like Hal, he was horribly underwritten and a pale imitation of the version from the comics. Which other characters belong on this list? Share your own picks below.
