4. Josh Miller - Cage Dive

Rebranded as Open Water 3: Cage Dive shortly before its release, Gerald Rascionato's 2014 shark movie is a brutal, unrelenting, tense found footage affair - and that "affair" ends up being sadly quite literal.

Brothers Josh (Josh Pothtoff) and Jeff (Joel Hogan), along with Jeff's girlfriend Megan (Megan Peta Hill), are three California tourists who embark on a shark cage dive while in Australia. Conveniently, all of this trip is filmed by Jeff with the intention of it landing them a spot on some stupid 'extreme' reality TV show.

Of course, the cage dive goes awry when a huge wave hits their boat, leaving all involved stranded in shark-infested waters. From there, tensions begin to boil between Josh, Jeff and Megan - not least due to how Josh and Megan had been having an affair behind Jeff's back.

During Cage Dive's final act, Megan is taken by a shark, Jeff dies due to a lack of medication for a heart condition, and it looks like scumbag brother Josh is to be the sole survivor. With a rescue helicopter finally on the scene, it's there that Josh's true fate is revealed - as we see a shark rise up from below him.
