8 Horror Movies Built On A Lie
2. Troll 2
I didn't say the movies on this list were going to be GOOD horror movies built on lies, so here we are at the bottom of the barrel for the so bad its brilliant level of film in Troll 2. The lie only feels appropriate for this whole mess of a movie though, to be honest, and maybe even enhances it a teensy tiny bit. Never mind the truth, make it interesting, eh?
Troll 2, despite its title directly saying otherwise, is not a sequel. Much like Open Water 2: Adrift, the title was taken from another movie and a sequel digit slapped on the end to help its chances at the box office. Apparently 'Goblins' wasn't as much of a sell, even if the whole movie centres on those creatures rather than the titular troll it's emblazoned with. I mean, Troll wasn't even that great of a movie either, so quite what they were thinking with this one no one can be sure.
Either way, famed for its ridiculous acting and dire storytelling, Troll 2 is an absolute treat if you go in with an open mind and some serious beef with vegetarians. Just go with it. It's worth it.
