8 Horror Movies That Were Filmed In Total Secrecy

Between 2015 and 2017, we were drip-fed information about an upcoming comedy horror film named Slice.

We learned that Chance the Rapper (who is, uh, a rapper) had been cast in a major role. Then we learned that the prolific A24 were going to be the ones distributing it. And then, out of nowhere, in October 2017, a teaser trailer dropped revealing that the entire thing had already been filmed!

Woah!

Slice came out in late 2018 starring the aforementioned Mr. The Rapper alongside Zazie Beetz. She plays a pizza delivery driver looking to solve the murder of her ex-boyfriend. Only there's a twist - he was murdered whilst delivering pie to an area of the city inhabited by ghosts.

Right, who let M. Night Shyamalan into the writers' room?

Chance plays a former delivery driver (who also happens to be a werewolf) and the whole thing is very tongue-in-cheek. There's a lot of silly comedy and plenty of very serious moments juxtaposed against very ridiculous ones.

All in all, Slice is a really fun time that goes down easy - kinda like a delicious 12" margherita.
