8 Marvel Actors Who Were Cast In The Wrong Parts

7. Jaimie Alexander

Alexander has been quietly stealing scenes in the Thor movies for a while now, playing the role of badass warrior Sif, that most generous of support characters who clearly has feelings for the hammer-toting one, who is inevitably oblivious.

Alexander is great in the role, but she€™s often sidelined for bigger characters and it'€™s frustrating that time is taken away from her for the sake of yet another scene where Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth pretend to be attracted to each other.

Who She Should Have Played Instead: Jane Foster

Alexander has way more chemistry with Hemsworth than Portman ever will, and what's more, she actually seems to enjoy acting in the Marvel movies too; something Portman can€™t really be accused of.

Playing Jane would put her front and centre, and she€™d give Jane a believable inner strength instead of being the annoying love interest who periodically needs rescuing. Plus, if the Lady Thor opportunity ever arises, she'd be the perfect candidate.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
