8 MCU Characters Who Deserve Their Own Movie

Valkyrie was introduced to the franchise in Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and proved to be the film's break-out character. She missed out on the action in Infinity War, but made her way back to the fold with Endgame, where she became the de-facto leader of Asgard whilst Thor was out of commission, and later took part in the final battle against Thanos.

Now the Queen of Asgard, Tessa Thompson is set to reprise her role in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). But what then?

With Thor gone from Asgard and Valkyrie having a major character arc over her two appearances - going from a depressed former warrior to ruler of the world she once fought for - it would be interesting to see her step up and fully slip into Thor's shoes. Having her protecting Asgard from a new threat would be a satisfying development in her character, and would give her more time to shine outside of a Thor-led picture.

If Valkyrie can become as iconic and likeable as she has after only two movie appearances, then a solo movie is bound to be a rousing success.
