8 Michael Keaton Movies That Remind You He IS Batman

1. Speechless

€œI always feel bad during a break in a conversation. If only we could think of something else to talk about, not Speechless-related.€ Have you finished processing the picture? Has your breathing steadied? All right. This movie includes the mother of all crossover events that we will ever see on film, the one we€™ve always wanted, yet it slipped right by so many of us. Michael Keaton and Christopher Reeve. I have yet to finally see this movie of movies, or even a clip with the two together in the same room on YouTube. Although not the focus of the movie, the scenes between these two monoliths of pop culture must be fleetingly amazing and so cool to watch€”and they technically play rivals, no less. Comedic rivals, sure, and within a subplot not given much screen time, but they€™re rivals just the same, and if Speechless is the only occurrence of such a thing available on film, that€™s good enough for me. Almost as unbelievable that this movie happened in the first place is how low-key it is. Incredibly and ironically, in my search for screenshots from this movie, I seemed to have reached the bounds of the Internet, since the above shot was the best I could find with the two actors in it. Why aren€™t we on this, people? Surely we can direct more of our efforts to the end of bringing a much more prominent and comprehensive awareness of this movie to our fellow humans. How could the universe stop its expanding at this particular point? Is it too much for us? If anything, it should be a beginning. Also, Ernie Hudson is in this movie. The Ghostbusters are honorary superheroes in my book.

Conclusion

So I hope this hasn€™t ruined any of Michael Keaton€™s movies for anyone. Without a doubt, everyone ever will one day be tied to Michael Keaton in some way through Batman anyway. And this list only counts his film work. But at the end of the day in my opinion, these kinds of observations are really just fun to consider, because the legacy of Michael Keaton€™s work is much greater than Batman. I really wish I could think of a Batman connection to The Other Guys. If I do, I€™ll definitely post it here. What other Batman connections have you noticed over the years? I€™m sure I€™ve missed a few! Feel free to list the TV connections while you€™re at it. One of these days I REALLY have to watch The Company, among other things.
